The crypt mission split the castle before a single vote was cast. Xavier and Katie had each smuggled a blank death warrant out of the books, and only one of them was walking away a Traitor. Face to face with Joe and Tomica for the first time, Katie leaned on loyalty, reminding them she never voted to banish Madeline because she read her as a Traitor and would not take out one of her own. Xavier played the operator, reminding the turret he had already floated Katie's name to the Faithful. It read as a man who would turn on his own team, and it cost him everything: the Traitors took Katie and murdered Xavier.
Then the Round Table opened and the heat landed on Arisa. Her 'human lie detector' stunt, taking Victor's hands and asking point blank if he was a Traitor, had spooked half the room. Abby Lee said she saw her pocket a shield, and Michael tied the clue he and Ben bought in the crypt, two players battling 'in plain sight' to become a Traitor, to that hand-holding. Wrong battle, wrong woman. Jay and Logan floated Katie, the right name, and nobody bit. The episode cut away before a single vote was cast.
