Breakfast opened on an empty chair: Kim Daily, the Houston lawyer who entered the castle posing as a college basketball coach, was the season's first murder. At the Round Table the group never found its footing. Victor drew fire for grabbing a shield and for sweating through every accusation, answering with an instantly iconic "I'm a sweaty boy!" that turned heat into sympathy. The real damage came from Kriste, who seized on Madeline's offhand remark about feeling bad for Kim and framed it as good as a confession. The votes split 13 for Madeline, 7 for Victor, 1 for Kriste. Madeline was banished, and revealed as a Faithful. The cast burned its first vote on an innocent. The episode ended mid-cliffhanger, with Katie and Xavier still hunting the death warrants that decide who becomes the third Traitor and who becomes a casket.
